FAQ

Q – How much notice should I give Plymouth Rock Moving & Storage about a move?

A – We suggest that you contact our Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts moving services approximately 4-6 weeks in advance to ensure that we are available for your desired moving date. The more notice we have, the more likely it will be that everything can get taken care of ahead of your moving date. Commercial moves may require more advanced notice, as well as moves that involve storage, interstate and international moves. This will help us to accommodate any special requests or specific time frames.

Q – Do you offer a FREE quote or estimate on residential and commercial moves?

A – Yes, Plymouth Rock Moving & Storage can provide you with a written estimate for any type of move you require. Contact our office in Pocasset, Massachusetts by calling 1-800-340-0995. We will come out to your location to do a visual survey of your furniture, equipment and other belongings to ensure that we are providing you with an accurate quote. Make sure to let us know if you want to take advantage of our packing services for local, interstate and international move management so we can include that cost in with your estimate. The overall cost of moving your things will be based upon the weight of your items and the amount of items that you want our professional moving company to handle for you.

Q – When is the best time to plan a move with Plymouth Moving & Storage?

A – While we have truck available for our Southeastern Massachusetts moving services all year long, there are definitely a few times throughout the year that are busier than others. For examples, many families will schedule a major move during the summer while the kids are out of school on vacation. High school grads make the migration to college in the late summer and early fall. Weekends, three-day weekends, holidays and fair weather seasons are also often more popular than week days or the middle of winter with all that snow and ice. The best way to avoid any scheduling conflicts is to contact our office as soon as you know you will need to move.

Q – Is it possible to make changes to my original moving plans?

A – If you need to change your moving date, contact your coordinator for residential and commercial moves as soon as possible. Our team can help you process any of the required changes to your plan, such as packing or moving dates, storage options, can help you discuss any updates or differences in cost, and can assist in making other alterations to your original moving plan.

Q – Is there a storage option available at your local facility?

A – We actually have three different options that you can use to store your things. For both residential and commercial clients, choose from Go Mini’s mobile storage containers, United Mayflower steel storage containers or traditional storage at our 25,000 square foot warehouse located in Pocasset, Massachusetts. We can provide storage on a short-term and long-term basis, allow you to use storage temporarily during your moving process and can even hold some of your things for you when you move overseas that won’t pass the local customs regulations.

Q – What is the service range for Plymouth Rock Moving & Storage?
